Kenzan SA is an award-winning Geneva (Switzerland) based company focused on creative content aimed at delighting consumers and helping businesses grow their customer base. Their expertise has earned Kenzan SA awards at Los Angeles’ SIGGRAPH 2015, the VR Hollywood Summit in 2016 and a recent grant from Epic Games, for “outstanding work”.
Building on innovations pioneered in the VR Time Machine created for DuPont Performance Materials and the VR Promotion & Entertainment product created for Coop shopping malls in Switzerland, the foundations for Kenzan Arena were laid - destined at sharing VR games and experiences to the public. With Coop’s 2017 Virtual Reality Roadshow alone, 2 million people will discover Kenzan SA’ product.
Founded in 2006, Kenzan SA currently employs more than 40 professionals. With its in-house team of creative directors, visual artists, animators and developers, Kenzan SA delivers complete original virtual reality environments and characters, along with animations, visual effects and dedicated user interfaces.
Founder & Creative Director
Pascal is a relentless Lego player. Passionate about music and cinema, he built his own recording studio at the age of 16. After obtaining a graphic and plastic arts diploma in Geneva, he took up industrial design lessons in Milan and creates his first multimedia company in 1993.
His ingenuity allows Kenzan SA to anticipate trends and stay one step ahead. His creativity enables him to imagine appealing universes and fantastic stories that little by little become books, movies and video games.
Ronny has a tech background having founded his first IT company in 1998 at age 16. From there his journey led him through various technical and sales jobs at Microsoft. Kenzan SA was love at first sight combining his leadership experience with his side interests in Gaming, Virtual Reality and Filmmaking.
Ronny joined Kenzan SA in September 2016 from Microsoft Switzerland where he previously led the enterprise sales team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in General Management and Corporate Communication from HWZ in Zürich.
Director Research & Development
Pascal is a Film Director and Cinematographer. That’s why finding a good match between storytelling and technology seems only natural to him. After scientific and Political Sciences studies, he led various teams on more than 300 film shootings. Given his preference for cutting-edge technologies, these were mostly films relying on visual effects, animation, special cameras or new post-production processes.
He joined Kenzan SA in 2013 to work on various IPs, and to give shape to the very creative ideas of his long-time friend Pascal Conicella.
Director of Production
Olivier is a director, manager and digital artist, always looking to develop new ideas and projects that blend technologies, strong visual art and team management.
After a bachelors degree at Emile Cohl (Lyon, France) and a Masters Degree in Computer Graphics at ECAL (Lausanne, Switzerland), he moved to Los Angeles to work at Rhythm & Hues Studios on commercials and movies as a technical director and a lighting supervisor. After six years, he moved back to Switzerland, and spent 12 years managing two private Art School focusing on Design, Architecture, Illustration and Animation.
He joined Kenzan SA in 2016 as Director of Production.
Head of publishing
Anna has loved reading since her childhood, so very early on she understood that she wanted to spend her life in the magic of books. She has a MS diploma in Publishing Sciences from the University of Milano (Italy), 2013.
Initially honing her skills as a trainee at Rizzoli (RCS Media Group), then editing at Proedi Editore and later web editor of Where Milan magazine. She has also collaborated with De Agositini on digital products for learning and still does on occasion.
Since moving to Geneva in 2015, Anna has joined Kenzan SA to support the development of a unique transmedia collection, «The Fantastic Voyages of Teo & Leonie», and is responsible for all the editorial and promotional aspects.
Mélanie’s universe is dedicated entirely to creativity and discovery. Curious and passionate about different cultures and foreign places, Mélanie has travelled to many countries, backpacking to get closer to the local population.
She has been a long-time enthusiast of children’s literature and their gentle drawings.
Since 2014, Mélanie has created and developed the collection of Teo & Leonie with Pascal Conicella, safeguarding its philosophy and respecting its mission in all aspects. The photos she takes while travelling nourishes and compliments the children’s adventures while providing supplementary educational information to the books, apps and the future TV series.
